The new Tripple Reflector LFA Yagi - Best ever G/T per W/L, Period!

I have been spending much of my spare time over the last few months developing a new series of LFA yagis for VHF. Others for UHF will follow in due course. The objective from the outset was to produce something which would not just give bandwidth over a large portion of the 2M band but to ensure pattern stability at the same time.

The layout of the 16el 'Plus2' LFA Yagis with 2 additional (shorter) rear reflectors

The Plus2 is not unique in its design and the additional rear reflector has been used for years within wideband antenna arrays (such as TV antennas) in order to broad band their performance. However, the Plus2 is using them in order to maintain the pattern quality over an already achievable bandwidth. This concept I beleive to be new.

Super Clean - the 16el Plus2 has an excellent pattern with minimal sidelobes

I have developed the Plus2 in many variants from 10 to 23 traditional elements with the additional 2 reflectors on each. This is with the exception of the 15 element version which has been published in DUBUS magazine and remains exclusive to DUBUS readers. The remainder will be published on this website between now and the end of this year. If you do not feel confident building one yourself from stratch, contact one of the LFA dealers listed on the right hand side (top) of this page.

The elevation pattern confirms this antenna will be a true winner for EME purposes showing excellent G/T

Like all LFAs the Plus2 stack very well and produces class leading Sky temperature and G/T figures each and every time. Any Plus2 will prove to be an absolute winner in every respect. Having pattern stability and a completely flat SWR, the user can be sure the pattern and performance will remain under any conditions. In addition, like the earlier LFA versions the Plus2 has a direct 50 Ohm feed with no matching required and therefore, input power is limited only by the feeding coax cable.

Like all LFAs the Plus2 exhibits the same ultra-flate SWR curve for maximum radiation efficiency

The 16el Plus2 is 10.7 metres long (5.14 W/L) so will not be installed by every ham on every block but if a club or contest station is looking for an ultra low-noise antenna for everything from EME, MS and Es performance, you can not go too far wrong with these incredible Plus2 LFAs

TanT shows the incredible +0.07dB G/T figure. The shortest ever array to go into positive figures (VE7BQH G/T list)

And finally, a view of the performance as a 4 bay array. At 5.14 W/L long (including the rear reflectors) the 16el Plus2 is the shortest ever antenna to go into positive figures within the VE7BQHG/T. in fact, you have to go all the way to 5.74W/L in a traditional Yagi before this figure is bettered.

Want the best VHF Yagi performance available today? Build or buy the LFA Plus2, you will not be dissapointed!
