So far 2 more stations this week have completed their LFA Yagis and seem very happy too! 9Y4VU completed this 7el LFA2 (bent reflector for increased F/B) and OE4VIE finishes his 6el LFA ready for the E season!

The 7el LFA2 for 6m at 9Y4VU

Frank 9Y4VU reports of his LFA:

'Anyway The antenna is finally up on March 09. The boom is about 38 feet above ground. We only have occasional TEP to South America and have been working Brazil and Argentina and Uruguay. On one QSO with PY5HOT  he commented that it was the loudest he has ever heard me, having had a few QSO's before, @ S9+20dB. Will keep you posted on further activity and comparisons with the local 6M crowd while chasing DX on a common frequency.'

The 6el 6m LFA at OE4VIE

Jo OE4VIE makes the following report of his 6el LFA for 6m:

'Hello Justin!

Good news, my first LFA is running, it is up on the tower  AND!!!!   it works perfectly!!! SWR 1:1 wide bw, and F/B is just unbelievable....better than my old 6JXX6, also hear one OE beacon better with this LFA...so it works!! Now waiting for some 6m openings. Here are some pictures for you, if you like you can publish them on your website.

Modeling with NEC4.1D, careful consideration of any correction factors required and removing 'lossy' matching systems makes for a better antenna. If you have not got your LFA installed yet, why not? You are getting left behind!!
