The Weekend of 19th/20th June sees the RSGB 6m Trophy and like on many other contest dates, G0VHF sets up their /P operation on the cliffs over looking the North Sea and Walton on the Naze, Essex, UK. However, this year saw a small change in the program as 3 LFA Yagis were errected. 2 x 7el 9.8M LFAs and 1 x 10el LFA of 17.3m in length were raised on 2 towers for this years event.

The 10el 6m LFA on a 17.3m boom at G0VHF/P

Having the salt water take off made for excellent performance towards the east although the ODX came from AA7A at over 8500kms away to the west.

2 x 9.8m long 7el 6m LFAs at G0VHF/P. Complete with wind loading!

The antennas where considered a great success and all involved look forward to the RSGB VHF field day in a few weeks time to stretch the legs of these huge LFAs once more.
