With the 10m band starting to bubble, DH8BQA built and installed this G0KSC dual-band Yagi for 10/6m. The winter ice makes the elements stand out against the blue sky so as we can all see what a great job he has done!

EA6BB (Eantennas produced) installed his 6el 50MHz LFA this month and had these comments to make:

'Hi Justin
Send you 3 photos my instalatión. Is fb your antenna ,very good . SWR 1:1  50.0 to 51.9 fantastic.
Gd Luck Justin Peter EA6BB'

Sam, 9A3OS sent me this photo from his Club station where they have just installed a second 7 element 28MHz G0KSC OWA antenna to compliment the first. A great job guys, good luck contesting this year!!

G4SPD built his 3.5m long LFA Yagi this winter too and is already very pleased with the results:

'Hi Justin  Just to let you know  my LFA4 ele 3'5 mtr boom  antenna is now up and running  i  did not have any problems tuning  it up and  had my first ever contact SM3BEI on  JT6M  so  i am  very pleased and have taken some good  pics that i would like to send you,  it was made from  bits and pieces that i  had laying around the shack  all i needed  to buy was the nuts and bolts  and insulators  and the feeder cable  so  highly  delighted with result   so can i have your email address so i can let you have the pics Cheers and beers  Neville G4SPD'

ZS6NK built this 9el 4m monster and installed it on a tower along side his existing 7el DL6WU and had these comments to make after testing:

'Hi Justin, I conducted some tropo tests with zs6jon this morning. On  the 7 ele (DL6WU design) he is just above the noise (no s meter reading on 847) and with the 9 el LFA S5 on the 847's meter. He could barely hear me on the 7 ele and also S5 on the 9ele.

A hard to believe report with 5S points meaning 30dB difference so I asked Paul about the SWR on the DL6WU and the feedline, was is working OK? This is what he said:

'Yes the 7 ele SWR etc is fine.I am quite amazed by the difference. The feedline to the 7ele is also .5" heliax but abt 8 m shorter too. I stood at the window patch panel and swopped the antennas back and forth, consistant
difference between them. I have worked several stations on MS/tropo with 7ele.

So there you have it, if you want performance, build an LFA!!

Thomas, M0ABA has also been busy building himself a 24 element 70cms LFA and an 11 element 144MHz OWL. Congrats, they both look great!!
