DK9VZ decided to build a 15m LFA Yagi for contesting. He contacted G0KSC for a design and here is the result:

'Hi Justin,

Our second antenna at same height is an M² KT-36XA, a tribander with 5 Elements on 15m. A first longer QSO this evening with a friend who is currently in Namibia V5 brought the result, that the 5 El. LFA is about half an S-Unit louder than the KT-36XA and that result is the same in RX and TX-Mode.

Great, that was what we were hoping, now it is reality'

The incredible pattern of the LFA is not limited to just VHF. Take a look at the 42+dB F/B this LFA has. Not only does it outperform by 3dB a tribander with the same number of elements (on 15m) but it also hears or transmits virtually nothing to the rear!
