The LFA lands in Florida

Harry, KG4HJA used one of the free designs on this site, scaled it up and used it as the basis of his new 10M station. This is the first confirmed home-build of an LFA I have had from the USA and boy, what a job Harry has made of it! Harry reports

'SWRs 1.0@ 50 Ohms on the mfj 259b. Seems to be working fine, good Front to Back ans low noise. Thanks KG4HJA Orlando Florida'

The LFA (Loop Fed Array) has been designs to reduce noise pick up from city locations and ensure the receiver hears what you want it to hear only form the direction it is pointing. This was one of the main reasons Harry wanted to build the LFA and confirmed it does the job.

2 more happy LFA users:

"Had it (6M6LFA)measured and swr is perfect, the reflection co-efficient measured here an incredible 39 dB.Never found such figures on a antenna in real life. - 73's de Paul PA3GND"

"Re 6M5LFA - I'm well pleased so far, swr flat, pattern much sharper (than old antenna) and f/b is superb. Still have the power line noise so cant really tell what the noise floor is like until that gets fixed (Tony EI7BMB)"

Do you have an LFA? Let me know!
